Cyril MacPhee's fourth recording, "When I Say I Do", released in May 1998,
consists of 11 original songs, the majority written by Nova Scotian
writers, a Lennon and McCartney number and 1 traditional song, all done
in his unique style. The album is enhanced by a rich mix of guest artists
(actually 20 in total) including Cindy Church (Quartette), J.P. Cormier
(1998 ECMA Award Winner), Gordie Sampson (phenominal quitar, Real World),
Curly Boy Stubbs (of Stan Rogers' fame, a.k.a. Paul Mills), and Bruce
MacPhee (Slainte Mhath) all of whom accent Cyril's tremendous lead
vocal delivery. Lend to that the impeccable production of Paul Mills
and you have an album sure to strike a chord with every one.

The award winning song, "Matthew's Voyage," (A. Sampson/W. Touesnard/C.
MacPhee, produced by Paul Mills) was recorded and released as a special
commemorative single CD by Brakin' Tradition. The song was chosen by
the John Cabot Meeting Society as an official song of the 500th John
Cabot Anniversary celebration for Nova Scotia in 1997. The band
performed at many of Nova Scotia's official functions surrounding
a visit of a replica of John Cabot's ship.
